Nickel alloy Inconel 625 which contains no or little aluminium and titanium usually adopts electric arc furnace or non vacuum induction furnace to smelt.
Nickel alloy Inconel 625 which contains much aluminium and titanium need adopt vacuum melting to avoid element being damaged when melting in the air. In order to further reduce the content of impurities and improve impurities distribution and the crystal structure of ingot casting, it can adopt smelting and secondary remelting.
The main means of smelting are electric arc furnace, vacuum induction furnace, non vacuum induction furnace. The means of secondary remelting are consumable electrode vacuum furnace and electric slag furnace.
