Tungsten molybdenum alloy is a kind of alloy which is composed of tungsten and molybdenum. The tungsten content of tungsten molybdenum alloy accounts for 30% ~ 50% (quality). The preparation method of W-Mo alloy is same with the molybdenum metal materials and molybdenum alloys, that is the powder metallurgy sintering processing and smelting processing, which can produce rod, plate, wire or other profiles.
W-Mo alloy containing tungsten 30% has excellent corrosion resistance to liquid zinc, which is used to manufacture agitator, lining of pipelines and vessels and other parts in zinc smelting industry. Because the W-Mo alloy has good high temperature strength, its performance is similar with the tungsten and its specific gravity is smaller than that of tungsten, so it can be used as high temperature components of the rockets and missiles in high-temperature conditions, electronic tube filament, parts and other materials for high temperature.
Molybdenum and metal alloys are important in the field of weapons, as well as in the field of missile rockets. In addition, tungsten filament is used to make electron-tube heater and the high temperature electric heating element. Molybdenum is easy to be processed as wire, belt, rod and so on, it is also widely used in the electronics industry. Molybdenum wire is used as hooks to support the heating wire in the light bulb and the grid in the electronic tube. Molybdenum, tungsten boat (vacuum coating) and molybdenum tungsten alloy also have been found for a long time,
