Bottom insert, oblique bottom insert: Used in borosilicate glass, it not need to adjust the electrode furnace, which has the advantages of convenient operation, long service life. The disadvantage is that the furnace structure is complex, and the installation requirement of the furnace is strict.
Top insert: The utility model can be applied to the majority of glass and various types of furnace structure, and it can not contact with the lining material, which can improve the service life of the kiln. The disadvantage is that manufacturers operation require is high.
2. the protection of electrode:
According to the erection sequence, it can be divided into pre installation and post installation. Generally, the pre installed molybdenum electrodes need to be protected in advance, otherwise it is easy to oxidize in the process of roasting. The post installation molybdenum electrodes need to be fixed position in front of the kiln, when the glass liquid is to the specified position to install the electrode, it no need to do protection.
The protection of molybdenum electrode is mainly to insulate molybdenum and oxygen, which is commonly used for anti oxidation coating, the electrode will be covered by the low melting point broken glass (smaller particle size is better), or the electrode will be wrapped tightly with a glass fiber cloth.
This kind of electrode protection is only suitable for the short - term protection of the baking process. When the electric furnace is normally operated, it needs a water jacket to cool it (except for the water-cooling electrodes used in manifold).
