The characteristics of titanium screws static liquid extrusio

Hydrostatic extrusion technology has nearly a hundred years of history. However, in large scale and industrialization process, due to limit of the higher strength of structural materials, it slowed the pace of development. With the progress of the material science, it promoted the practical application of this technique. The hydrostatic extrusion technology of titanium screw extrusion has outstanding advantages. In recent years, the superconducting material is developed, the demand for continuous steepness on guide is higher and higher, and thus it will inevitably increase the size and weight of billets. In this way, the use of common extrusion equipment is difficult to achieve, and the use of hydrostatic extrusion technology has more advantages.

When using the hydrostatic extrusion, high pressure liquid to billets and container walls, but there is some high pressure liquid into the die hole, the product is extruded from the die wall also. The friction coefficient can be reduced by 0.01, thereby it greatly reduced the power loss and improved product surface accuracy.
2. Increase the length of bad titanium ingot: The traditional method of extrusion pressure, 50% is used to overcome the friction force between the billet and the extrusion wall. The size of the friction is proportional to the degree of spindle. Therefore, the length of billets is limited. If the use of hydrostatic extrusion is in no friction extrusion process, therefore, it can increase the length of billets. For example, the same tonnage extrusion machine, hydrostatic extrusion yield can be increased three times more than ordinary extrusion.
