The application of tungsten (electric vacuum lighting materials):
Tungsten as tungsten wire, tungsten strip and various forging components is widely used for electronic tube production, radio electronics and X ray technique. Tungsten is the best material of incandescent filament and spiral wire. High working temperature (2200 -- 2500 ℃) ensures the high luminous efficiency, and the small evaporation rate ensures the long service life of wire. Tungsten wire is used for the manufacture of straight hot cathode and grid of electronic oscillation tube, cathode of high voltage rectifier and the indirectly heated cathode heater of various electronic instruments. Tungsten is used as the X light pipe and the cathode of gas discharge tube, and contacts of radio device and atomic hydrogen welding gun electrode. Tungsten wire  and tungsten rod are used as the heater of high temperature furnace (3000℃). Tungsten heater works in hydrogen gas, inert gas or vacuum.
