Characteristics and application: Pure nickel N6 foil shows good corrosion resistance in many acidic and alkaline environments, and has been used in reducing media. The biggest characteristic of nickel is corrosion in alkali medium such as caustic soda, caustic soda and so on, so it is widely used in ion-exchange membrane caustic soda production. Compared with most alloys, nickel has good corrosion resistance in dry fluorine. Nickel has also been successfully applied to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride at room temperature up to 540 degrees. It can also be used in stationary hydrofluoric acid solutions.
N6 has excellent mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance, higher thermal and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low vapor pressure. Nickel has good mechanical properties in a relatively wide temperature range, and is easy to cold processing, and the processing characteristics are similar to those of low carbon steel.
Typical applications: plate heat exchanger, bellows compensator, expansion joint, alkali production, chemical equipment, etc.
Process for producing nickel foil strip:
Our company all adopts Canada Falconbridge nickel as masterbatch, according to the phase transformation of nickel, before melting in the solid zone, it will reduce the most harmful impurity sulfur in nickel by using reduction method of phosphorus reduction, and use slagging method and vacuum to purify, vacuum degree is to 3 Torr.
Vacuum smelting has the following advantages:
1. The gas contained in a liquid metal can be discharged rapidly so that the gas content of the melt is very low.
2. The oxidation loss of the alloy element is greatly reduced, and the amount of oxidized slag entrapped in the melt decreases sharply.
3. Melt does not need cover agent and flux, and melt is not easy to pollute.
4. To improve the properties of metal alloys, the impact toughness can be increased by 80%, the endurance strength and elongation increased by 30%, and the shrinkage of the section increased by 50%.
