Inconel 718 forging rods

Inconel 718 is a precipitation strengthened nickel based high temperature high strength alloy. In 253 ~ 700 degrees Celsius temperature range, it has a good overall performance, the yield strength below 650 degrees is the first place of deformation superalloys. And it has a good resistance to fatigue, radiation, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and good processing performance, welding performance and long-term stability of the organization, which can make all kinds of complex parts. It has been widely used in aerospace, nuclear power. 

Another characteristic of the alloy is that the structure of the alloy is particularly sensitive to the hot working process. Mastering phase precipitation and dissolution law and organization and the relationship between technology, performance of alloy can make reasonable and feasible process according to different requirements, to obtain various parts of meeting different intensity levels and requirements.

Inconel 718 processing:
Hot working: the suitable heat processing temperature is 1120-900 degrees, cooling method can be water quenching or other rapid cooling method, after heat processing, it should be annealed in time to get the best performance. When hot working, the material should be heated to the upper limit of the processing temperature. In order to ensure the plasticity of the processing, the final processing temperature should not be lower than 960 degrees when the deformation reaches 20%.

Cold working: Cold working should be carried out after solid solution treatment, and the work hardening rate is higher than austenitic stainless steel. Therefore, the processing equipment should be adjusted accordingly, and the intermediate annealing process should be carried out during the cold working process.

Inconel 718 welding process:
This alloy has satisfactory welding performance, which can be welded by argon arc welding, electron beam welding, seam welding, welding and other welding methods.

Inconel 718 parts heat treatment process:
The heat treatment of aviation parts is usually carried out according to the standard heat treatment system and the direct aging heat treatment system.
