High pressure forming and low temperature sintering of tungsten heavy alloy:
High pressure molding sintering temperature is 1350 degrees centigrade. The density of the alloy sintered at low temperature is over 99% of the theoretical density, but the microstructure of the alloy is very different from that of the high temperature sintering. Low temperature sintering of tungsten and molybdenum in alloy phase is not completely spheroidized, higher volume fraction of phase, less content of adhesive. Tungsten alloy, high pressure molding, low temperature sintering, the high denstiy tungsten alloy usually is prepared by liquid phase sintering. The microstructure of the alloy is the elemental tungsten particles distributed in Ni solid solution matrix.
Tungsten particles are hard brittle phase, while the matrix is a ductile phase. Tungsten heavy alloy has many excellent properties, such as density, strength and toughness, good conductivity, heat conductivity, corrosion resistance and machinability. Therefore, tungsten alloy is a useful engineering material in the field of materials and is widely used in various industrial fields.
