Decreasing the NI content of Ni based alloy

Although nickel based alloy has good corrosion resistance and good mechanical and physical properties, because of its high nickel content and expensive price, it limited the range of applications of nickel alloy. Reducing the Ni content of nickel based alloy is a development direction of this alloy.

Compared with other series, Ni-Fe series nickel based alloy has the advantages of increasing Fe content, which can reach up to 45% and Ni content is reduced, so it has some advantages in cost. These alloys usually contain elements such as Cr, Mo, Cu, Ti and Al, and the average Cr content is still higher than 20%. According to the three element system, the alloy belongs to the Ni-Fe-Cr system. This kind of alloy is used to fill out the market demand of heat resistance, corrosion resistant alloy with low content. Its business series mainly has Incoloy series, and the typical brands are Incoloy800 825 864 and 925.

Incoloy800(Ni:30.0~35.0;Cr:19.0~23.0;Fe:≥39.5;C:≤0.10;Al:0.15~0.60;Ti:0.15~0.60;Al+Ti:0.30~1.20) is a single-phase austenitic alloy. It has been widely used because of its high temperature strength and oxidation resistance, anti carburizing and other forms of high temperature corrosion resistance. The typical application is heating sulfuric acid pickling pipe, container, water cooling heat exchanger, marine products pipeline system, heat exchanger, the production of phosphoric acid washing and immersion tube evaporator, air heat exchanger in oil refining, and anaerobic application of flame retardant alloy.
Incoloy 864 alloy is a high performance and cost-effective Ni-Fe-Cr alloy specially developed for automotive exhaust system connections, exhaust gas recirculation manifolds, manifolds and exhaust pipes. It has excellent fatigue resistance, thermal stability and thermal salt corrosion resistance, pitting corrosion and mechanical stress corrosion cracking ability.

Incoloy 925 alloy is a kind of Ni-Fe-Cr series age hardening alloy with Mo, Cu, Ti and Al.
